Island Lake Lodge is a backcountry, off-grid resort. Cell service and wifi are available throughout all our lodges but we are an "unplugged" experience, meaning guestrooms are not equipped with TVs, mini-fridges or A.C.

With two beautiful restaurants on offer, our Bear Bistro Patio and Tamarack Dining Room both boast magnificent views and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
The Bear Bistro offers visitors a casual, patio environment to enjoy a great meal and refreshing cocktail - all while being surrounded by dramatic views. No reservations - first come, first serve.
The Tamarack Dining Room treats guests to a culinary program that is rooted in local, sustainable, and impeccable ingredients. The dishes are a result of reflection and study. Menus are crafted and curated seasonally by our Executive Chef, Ryan Cain, and his team. Taking the very best ingredients treating them with respect and preparing them with care. Journey To Relaxation
After driving through an 800-year-old, Old Growth forest, you will arrive at your destination - an alpine spa where all your stress melts away.
After checking in at the Front Desk, you will be led down to the Spa where our staff will greet you and direct you to our changerooms complete with lockers, slippers and cotton robes. Relax and unwind while our experienced therapists take you through your treatment.
Once your treatment is complete, you are welcome to journey out to the Spa patio, where you can access our beautiful cedar barrel sauna, lounge chairs or have a soak in our hot pool.

Our exhilarating terrain, breathtaking scenery and incredible wildlife continues to make Island Lake Lodge one of the most coveted and celebrated properties in the East Kootenays.
The property is diverse and features bowls, vistas, streams, old-growth cedar forest and of course, our iconic lake.
Hiking trails range from light, one-hour loops to full-day advanced alpine adventures. Our popular Lazy Lizard bike trail is accessed from the bottom parking lot. And canoes are available to rent at the Tamarack Lodge.
