The lodge is at the elevation of 4600 ft. and our cat skiing typically starts as high as 7000 ft. The Island Lake cat skiing experience includes breathtaking bowls, exciting tree runs or gentle rolling slopes with a variety of aspects and pitches. The ski day generally consists of 10-14 runs, approx. 12,000-17,000 vertical feet, depending on the level of each group. Snow/weather conditions for cat skiing/ boarding at Island Lake is good to excellent most of the time with about 6-7 straight hours of exhilarating cat skiing or cat boarding to enjoy each day.

Once you’re back from the day’s incredible cat ski experience, Island Lake Lodge offers full massage services with two privately designated rooms in each of our three lodges. Our experienced massage staff helps you relax your muscles at the end of a hard day on the mountain. The Cedar also has a covered outdoor hot tub, a steam room and a small workout room with exercise equipment and light weights. There is also a stretching room area, which is available to all guests. The main lodge facilities include two outdoor hot tubs, a TV room with VCR and movies, games room with ping-pong and darts as well as a conference/meeting room. Equipped with cellular pay phones for guests, we make sure that are guests stay connected throughout their comfortable stay at the resort.
